A Temple of God

A Temple of God

Heavenly Father I praise You for today. I praise You for fearfully and wonderfully making me. I praise You for creating me with a purpose and putting hope and faith into my heart. Help me take command of my morning like You told Job he should be doing and shake the evil out of it as I honor You all day. Let this temple honor You with this living sacrifice learning, applying, and enjoying Your will. Let this temple stay clean and open as I renew my mind with worship, Your word, with listening to testimonies, and most of all listening to Your Spirit as I walk the path You have placed me on for today.

Holy Spirit help me to gain wisdom as James instructed us to ask for. Help me to not only get it but to use it. Help me to stand strong in my faith, honing my full spiritual armor so that I can withstand the onslaught of the sin of this world, the depression, chaos, Satan’s barrage of temptations, and my weaknesses as I shed my “old man” and start to become the new man that is Your walking, breathing, living temple to be a place and refuge for all to come to when they have lost hope, need help restoring their faith or just to have a helping hand. Let me be seeing enough to help the people You labeled as the least of these so that I can be considered a faithful and good servant. Help me to hone my skills and faith so that even hell can not prevail against the prayers and petitions I lay before Your throne. Help me to pray with humility, sincerity, and with Your heart at the forefront of what I ask for. Help me to pray as an intercessor for those who need salvation, to be a gap filler for my dying nation, to be an advocate for those who need healing and dreamers who seek to expand Your kingdom.

Praise be to You, God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For You chose me before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in Your sight. In love, You predestined me to be adopted as Your son through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given me in the One He loves. In You, I have redemption through the blood of Christ, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Your grace that You lavished on me with all wisdom and understanding. And You are making known to me the mystery of Your will according to Your good pleasure, which You purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In You I was also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of God who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, so that I, who has the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And I also was included in Christ when I heard the word of truth, the gospel of my salvation. Having believed, I am marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing my inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Amen. Ephesians 1:3-14
