Heavenly Father I praise You for the rest I did get last night. I praise You for having my daughter and grandchildren last night. I praise You for my job and for being able to serve You. I praise You for not expecting us to be judges but to be examples of love. I praise You for knowing the intent of the heart and that You see all of us when others do not. I praise You for keeping my truck running and for having a roof over our heads.
Holy Spirit Your word says: “Let nothing be done out of strife or conceit, but in humility let each esteem the other better than himself. Let each of you look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others. Let this mind be in you all, which was in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped. But He emptied Himself, taking upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in the form of a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.” [Philippians 2:3-8] Help me to take on the form of a servant and do all that You ask me to do. Return to my heart the ability to care, to demonstrate love, to show mercy when appropriate, to stand firm on the principles I was reared on and taught as a child.
I thank my God for every reminder of you. In every prayer of mine for you all, I have always made requests with joy, due to your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ….you all are fellow partakers of my grace. For God is my witness, how I long after you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment, that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, being, filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God. Amen. (Philippians 1:3-6, 7b-11)
