Am I Peculiar?

Heavenly Father I praise You for separating me from my sins and making me an adopted child of Your Kingdom through Your Son Jesus. I praise You for the leading and prompting of Your Holy Spirit. I praise You for all You have done, given, and are teaching me in life. I praise You for faith and not logic to live by.

Holy Spirit the King James Version of Your word says in the book of Titus: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [Titus 2:11-14, KJV] Peter tells us in another translation: But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. [1 Peter 2:9-10, CSB]

Holy Spirit because I have accepted Christ and His gift of salvation into my life I have been moved into being a member of His people. This makes me very peculiar to the world around me. For my allegiance, my life is all dedicated to serving my King and my Creator. Learning to live and apply the principles laid out in His word and by the continued prompting from His Spirit. I will die out to myself every day and live the purpose He created me for so that I can reach eternity and know that I am His and He is mine.

But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
