Heavenly Father I praise You when You make things work in life. I praise You that my wife was able to get a loan and a new car so she can drive safely for the next few years. I praise You for a son and daughter who are willing to step up and help search and follow through with the whole process. I praise You for watching over us and helping us to live within our means.
Holy Spirit I pray for my granddaughter who has cellulitis in her leg. I pray the medicine will help her heal quickly with no complications. I pray a hedge of protection around my wife, son, my daughter’s whole family keeping them from evil and harm. I pray that You continue to work in our lives and help us to grow in wisdom. I ask that You help my son Joe as he prepares to speak Sunday at church that You will lead his heart on what to say and that he will be obedient to Your Spirit.
Holy Spirit I pray that You will continue to work on and with me. Help me to improve in my focus and my desires to serve You fully. I pray that You will help me as I pray for different pastors, families, churches, communities and people needing healing. I pray You help me to grow in my faith so that I can pray with a confidence that I am praying within Your will. Holy Spirit help me to fight against the cynicism that I have allowed to grow within me. Help me to forgive and to move on.
Holy Spirit help me to be the best worker I can be so that I truly represent being a follower of You. Help me to find a way to work with the craziness of the people I have to work with and for. Help me to be a little more understanding but to also stand my ground to my integrity. Help me to not gossip ever. Help me to not compare myself to anyone else for this is unhealthy. Help me to not over step my position or interfere with the authority You have placed over me whether I respect the person or not. Help me to remember that You place who You want over us so that we will grow closer to You.
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. In Jesus’ name, amen. [Hebrews 10:19-25]
