Heavenly Father, I will sing about Your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about Your unfailing love. For You have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. O my Strength, to You I sing praises, for You, O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love. [Psalm 59:16-17]
Holy Spirit for the past 42 years I have learned to sanctify the Lord God in my heart, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks me a reason for the hope that is within me, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, knowing when they defame me as evildoers, those who revile my good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. I serve with the strength God provides so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. [1 Peter 3:15&16; 1 Peter 4:11] Help me to continue forward one step at a time towards the day when I will share eternity with You. Help me to be strengthened by the knowledge that a cloud of witnesses surrounds me and continues to cheer me on as I run my race. Help me to encourage others as I run and to support those who need support along the way. Let my next 58 years be as full as my first 58.
I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
