Are We Still Blind?

Heavenly Father I praise You for the wonderful Palm Sunday Service and Pastor Greg did an excellent job taking us through the events and the history that would come true to the prophesy of Jesus. I praise You for Your word it always is fresh and new each time I read, hear, meditate or pray over it. I praise You for slowly opening my eyes to Your kingdom around and in me.

Holy Spirit thank You for bringing attention to my heart and mind when Jesus said, and it is recorded in Luke 19:41-44 (CSB), “As He approached and saw the city, He wept for it, saying, ‘If you knew this day what would bring peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days will come on you when your enemies will build a barricade around you, surround you, and hem you in on every side. They will crush you and your children among you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in your midst, because you did not recognize the time when God visited you.” Holy Spirit I and many other historians have learned that Your prophecy did come true forty years later. The Romans would surround and siege the city until it fell, then they burnt the temple and killed the resistance. Because of the massive fires much gold melted and ran among the rocks and walls so the soldiers tore them apart to get the gold as their payment for the siege.

Holy Spirit don’t keep Your presence from my eyes but rather teach me to see correctly. Help me to humble myself and realize that without Your mercy, grace and forgiveness I would be so pride fully blind like the people of Jerusalem at the time when Christ entered as a king. Help me to not make up my mind about how things are to be but seek what God thinks it should be. Help me to recognize and praise You whenever You are in my presence, helping or assisting me or working in the area where I am at. I do not want to hear rocks cry out. Help me to be as Michael Todd often says, HOT, humble, open and transparent. This way I am a usable vessel for You. Help me to not get anxious with the world around me that I neither understand or have no control over. Help me to serve the way, the where and the why You choose to use me.

Open our eyes today, open our hearts today and help us to live a life ready to go, but also planning, planting and participating in the world around us so that we can stand and give an account to You of what we did with Your Son Jesus, and the salvation that he has offered to save and change our world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
