Bearing the First Fruit of Love

Heavenly Father I praise You for all the prayers that have been sent to You on behalf of my grandson.  I praise You for keeping him from getting more sick so far.  I praise You for the gift of children in our lives so that we can see how trust and faith is supposed to be.  Help me to learn to be as fully trusting and faithful to You as a child is to the people in their world.  Help me to discern peoples spirits and attitudes as a child is able to pick up on.  Help me to realize, just as a child depends on life sustaining conditions being provided by us, that I will depend on life sustaining Spirit from You to get me to heaven and take as many with me as I can.

Holy Spirit Paul wrote to the Galatians 5:22&23—But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:24—Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:25—Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Holy Spirit help me to bear the fruit of love. Help me to demonstrate love to You my Father, Savior, and Comforter.  Help me to demonstrate love to all of Your Creation especially all men and women that come into my life from day to day.  Help my love to be sincere, humble, honest, generous and bold.  Let Your Spirit work through me to love those who seem to be unlovable and to never look down on people but meet the with respect and humility.

Teach me to trust in Your love for me and for my family.  To fully demonstrate love in my Spiritual Walk with You.  Help me to never be a clanging cymbal when I can be a quite support for those who need to be loved.  Holy Spirit help my spirit to know when to demonstrate empathy towards those who need to be understood or to be uplifted.  I will continue to try to demonstrate my love for Your anointed and for Your leaders by praying over them and to leading others on how to seek You in prayer.

I thank my God, always mentioning you in my prayers, wherever I here of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may be most effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you from Christ Jesus.  For I have great joy and encouragement on account of your love because the hearts of the saints are refreshed through you. (MEV version of Philemon 4-7) In Jesus’ name, Amen.
