Heavenly Father I realize that there are billions of people who live on the earth right now. I praise You for knowing me so well that You can even tell how many hairs are on my head. I praise You for the personal God You are even with You being a God who created all of the existence of everything we know and don’t know of are involved in all of it. I don’t claim any ability to grasp the concept of You being everywhere and in one place simultaneously, but You are God and I am not. I praise You for Your love for me and for making me a purpose.
Your word says, “For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to His good purpose. Do everything without grumbling and arguing, so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world, by holding firm to the word of life.” [Philippians 2:13-16] Let my small light, which is like a star at night, shine brightly, and join with my brothers and sisters so that we can become light in a dark world and part of a navigational tool for people to find You the true source of life and light. Let what I say, think upon, how I act, and what I involve myself with, always be glorifying and leading to you. Let me live with a heart full of praise, gratitude, and faith (trust) so that I can join the family in bringing hope to a very lost world.
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of the You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by You, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You, all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
