Being a Man of Prayer

O Lord, I will honor and praise Your name, for You are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now You have accomplished them. You turn mighty cities into heaps of ruins. Cities with strong walls are turned to rubble. Beautiful palaces in distant lands disappear and will never be rebuilt. Therefore, strong nations will declare Your glory; ruthless nations will fear You. But You are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. The oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall. [Isaiah 25:1-4, NLT]

Holy Spirit I come before You today and petition through You to Christ in the throne room. I lay my petition at the feet of my Savior, I ask that my prayers and website that gives out prayers in some small way touch people’s hearts so that they will learn to pray earnestly, fervently, and united with others. Let my prayers be sweat incense to You. I humbly offer every prayer inspired by Your Spirit and scripturally aligned to be pleasing to You. Let me pray with Your heart and align myself with Your will. Help me to pray Your kingdom down to here. Help me to pray with conviction and faith so that we can witness Your healing, miracles, wonders, and power. Let my prayers be a uniting force among all believers and supersede doctrines and man’s thoughts so that I truly invest in Your wisdom. Help me to pray daily so that I am in the center of Your will and that I see change first in me, then in my family, and finally in my community. Help me to pray with the boldness and confidence of people like Caleb, the humility and wisdom like Daniel, and the discernment for the sight of Paul. Help me to be open and honest when I pray and even if it does not move anyone else, I will be faithful to pray.

I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech. Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings. (Amen) (Psalms 17:6-8)
