Being Secure and Not Judging

Heavenly Father, I praise You for being able to see us for who we really are. You look at our hearts and thoughts and know why we do what we do. You are a forgiving God with a plan for our lives, and You created us with a purpose. You help us take command of our mornings and shake out the evil from them. You direct our paths.

Holy Spirit today I come before You and ask that You help change Clint’s heart towards his brother. I pray that You will teach him it is not our job to judge or be judgmental towards others, especially family. Help him to develop a heart that learns to pray for the salvation of his brother but also demonstrates love, joy, patience, longsuffering, and most of all hope. I also ask that You work on Clint’s brother to see Clint as he learns to be more like You. Help him to have his spirit pricked to the salvation and change of life he needs to truly become a brother who shares the hope of salvation with Clint.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Holy Spirit help us bear with each other and forgive our grievances against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues help us to put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
