Heavenly Father I praise You for the history of Your people and the wisdom of Your word. I praise You that when sought, You can be found. I praise You for sending the Holy Spirit to dwell with us after Christ went to sit on the throne so that we could grow in our faith, become strong, and discerning, grow in wisdom and understanding, and feel Your presence as we face a world that continues to be sinful, dark, full of hate and despair. I continue to hold out hope that there are still some Abrahams in the world who are not afraid to be intercessors like he was for Lot and the city in which he lived.
Holy Spirit in the history lesson of King Asa we learn that the prophet told him that God had said, “But you all must be strong and not lose heart, for there is a reward for your deeds.” [2 Chronicles 15:7, MEV] Asa and the people went on to make serious changes in how they lived and worshipped and it says that when they sought God, He was found by them. Help me to continue to make changes in my life that honor God, that makes me stronger, and most of all
to be emboldened in my hope. Let me live as a true living sacrifice so that I am fully consumed and used by God in all I do every day I take a breath and walk this earth.
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21.
