Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons and daughters through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:3-14
Holy Spirit I stand today humbled to be call a child of God. I am weak and struggle to understand the ways of God at times. I praise You for Your word which I try to learn daily from to understand how to live my life for You. I desire to grow, and become more than I am through You. Light within me Your Spirit as You did those 120 in the Upper Room so that I can go out in boldness and speak with Your wisdom in my mouth, and with Your power in my faith. Help me to learn to be wise when I pray and when I talk. Help me to live my life so that I can truly be a living temple and example for You. Help me to truly sacrifice my will and desires on Your cross so that I can be usable for You daily. Teach me to stand stronger in my trust and faith of You. Help me to face my pain, my fear, my discouragement, and each trial with the hope of the promise that You are with me. Help me to learn to understand Your ways and to believe that You want the best for me since You created me to be who I am. Help me to accept my past but not be tied down by it. Help me to see a future where You are always a part of it. Help me to run my race with all the people I can get to run with me. Help me to honor those who invested in me and are now a part of my cloud of witnesses. Help me to not let You or them down.
Help me to faithful to pray often for those who need healing like Kayla, as she must have surgery on her liver and faces so many medical challenges for being so young. Help me to pray in a way that as these people join me we lay anointing on her to be fully healed so that she can be a living testimony to what You are capable of. Holy Spirit give us the faith to believe You are able to do this.
And I pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:10-14) Continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has proclaimed to every creature under heaven. (Colossians 1:23)
May my heart be directed by the Holy Spirit into love of God and into the patience of Christ. Help the words I speak to be not only acceptable in Your sight but to be the very life You have breathed into me being poured out onto others so that all may know my God, my Savior, my Redeemer, My Joy and my Salvation, Jesus Christ, Amen.
