Heavenly Father I praise You for bringing challenges into my life for they have made me stronger in my faith and my understanding of our relationship. I praise You for not leaving me alone to struggle but also trusting enough not to do all of it for me either. I praise You for helping me face life strait on and not waiver in what I believe. I praise You for giving me time to grieve and reevaluate what I believe and how I believe.
Holy Spirit help me to learn the lesson of the seven churches described in Revelation. Help me to remember my love I had at the beginning of my walk with You and to rekindle the excitement, wonder and boldness I possessed to do Your will. Help me not to fear tribulation or persecution for what I believe. Help me to not let sexual immorality to enter my life or ensnare me with its enticements of instant gratification from any source but to be steady in my walk with heaven as my goal. Holy Spirit help me to be known for my works, love, service, faith, and your patience, and that my last works will be more than my first. Help me to remember what I have heard and learned and hold fast to truth so I can stand even if it means my death. Help to never deny Your name, be strong in You and not on my own and help me to keep Your word and demonstrate patience.
Holy Spirit help me never to get complacent and rest on what I have. Help me to always hunger and thirst after righteousness, and to constantly seek out Your blessings while being refined by Your Holy Fire so that I will be purged of all sin in my life and be completely in step with You. Teach me to continue to learn, to desire wisdom and to grow. Let me never stop moving forward in my life towards the goal of being with You in heaven some day.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
