Comforter

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak. And He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. [Matthew 5:4; Proverbs 3:5&6; Proverbs 8:17; John 16:12-15]

Holy Spirit it has been two years today since we lost Philip and our hearts still mourn. I praise You for all the help You have brought into my life to help me to move forward and to have purpose to go on. I will always miss Philip and I will always have questions, but my trust is in You. Thank You for comforting me when the pain gets so great I feel I can’t breathe. Thank You for people you have brought into my life that listen and do not judge. Thank You for my family and grandchildren that give me love even when I am not the most lovable.

Holy Spirit I praise and thank You for the whole year now that the website has been providing my prayers and books for people to see, read, use and enjoy. I thank You for giving me purpose in praying over pastors, churches, people in need and for our country. I praise You for giving a core group of people who faithfully pray in unity with me and help put faith and power behind the petitions to You. I praise You for the learning curve I have been on with learning Your word in a new way and seeking to obey and trust in You and Your word.

Holy Spirit bring comfort to my wife, daughter and son-in-law, my son and extended family who knew and loved Philip. I know the pain never fully goes away and bouts of depression will occur, but continue to let all of us know You are walking by our side and the You understand what we are feeling and comfort us with the knowledge we will see Philip one day in heaven. Holy Spirit help each of us to re learn how to walk and follow You and lean on You to comfort and guide us.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. For we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially urge you to do this, ….Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
