How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies. I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body, and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near Your altar, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King, and my God! What joy for those who can live in Your house, always singing Your praises. [Psalm 84:1-4, NLT]
Holy Spirit Your word says: “For we dare not count or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. They who measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another are not wise.” It also says: “…work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God is the One working in you, both to will and to do His good pleasure.” So I need to, “Love the Lord My God with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my mind. [2 Corinthians 10:12; Philippians 2:12&13; Matthew 22:37(CSB)] Then I will know that I am serving You and fulfilling my purpose as Your creation and adopted child.
I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, trust also in Him. And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light. And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place but is shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Amen. [Psalm 31:7; Psalms 31:24; Psalm 34:4; Psalm 37:4; Psalms 37:1-11]
