Heavenly Father I give You my morning to take command of it as You see fit. I praise You for the zucchini, potatoes, and smoked sausage I had for supper, because not only did it taste good, but it helps keep my AC1 down. I praise You for Authors like Greg Groeschel who expound on wisdom from Your word. I praise You for the mentors You put in my life.
Holy Spirit Your word says: Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who are of the household of faith. For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works so that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we should walk in them. [Galatians 6:9&10; Ephesians 2:8-10]
Holy Spirit help me to stay the course, finish my race, run with Your path before me, doing what I need to do to stay within Your Spirit and will. Help me to not let sin or anything else distract me from my purpose in life that You instilled in me before I even took form within the womb. Let me always give praise and acknowledge that only through grace and the gift of Your salvation am I righteous and can strive to live a holy life. Help me to grow strong in wisdom and discernment by having understanding and knowledge of what You desire of me and how I should live. Help me to be the living temple and living sacrifice that You so desire me to be so that I can be dead to the world and alive to Your Spirit.
Man [or woman] of God, flee from all this and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. 1Timothy 6:11-16
