Heavenly Father, I praise You for today. I praise You for all of the blessings You have bestowed on my life. I praise You for standing by me as I face trials and storms. I praise You for allowing me to command my morning. I praise You for the power behind prayer. I praise You for the truth of Your word. Most of all I praise You for being an active, participating, relational part of my life.
Holy Spirit Your word says: “But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born from a woman, born under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons (daughter). And because you are sons (daughter), God has sent forth into our hearts the Spirit of His Son, crying, “Abba, Father!” Therefore You are no longer a servant, but a son (or daughter), and if a son (or daughter), then an heir of God through Christ.” [Galatians 4:4-7] I realize that not only am I an heir because of Jesus, I have the attention of the Father. Unlike an earthly father, The Father can give us individual attention all the time. He is after all Omni present, everywhere at the same time. The Creator of the Universe, Cosmos, and each of us, wants to know me personably and He made that possible through the salvation from Jesus and the daily communication through the Holy Spirit.
I need to not only know about God but know God. This means I need to learn, listen, watch, and trust in all that is Him. Just like a husband and wife learn each other as they grow old together I need to learn God as I age and mature in my walk with Him. I need to trust that I can tell Him everything and seek for Him to help me fulfill my purpose to the full potential so that I get to know true joy. I know I will always have trials, storms of life, and temptations until I go to heaven, but I can have joy, and peace of mind if I learn to have complete faith, confidence, and trust in God.
Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for God is well pleased with such sacrifices. Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. For we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially urge you to do this, ….Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
