HeavenlyFather I praise you for my heritage, for the faithfulness of my parents and
grandparents to make sure I knew of the people, ideas, and wisdom of Your word.
I praise You that I can lean on the history of Your people to understand that
You are not a God made of wood or stone but Elohim Chayim and You breathe
Your Spirit into me every day I take a breath now that I am Your child.
HolySpirit Your word says, “This how you will know that Elohim Chayim is among you
and that He will certainly drive out before you the Canaanites, Hittites,
Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites.” [Joshua 3:10, NIV]
This is but one example of where You demonstrated You were Elohim Chayim. You also demonstrated time and time again throughout Your word that You are Elohim Chayim. You helped Joseph in prison, You were there for Moses as he crossed the Red Sea and walked through the wilderness
with over a million people. You were there for Caleb when he finally came into
the promise land to take his mountain for his family. You were with David when
he faced Goliath, Elijah as he demonstrated that You truly are Elohim Chayim
unlike the gods of Baal that many of the people had been serving. You were with
John the Baptiste and spoke when he baptized Jesus. You demonstrated Your
Spirit when descending upon the 120 faithful in the upper room. You are Elohim
Chayim when You had Jesus raised from the dead three days after being
crucified. You will truly be ElohimChayim when this world is done and we live with You in glory.
Let me always remember I serve a living God, who is, was, and will always be. Let me always be aware of Your Spirit which lives within me and gives me wisdom. Let all I do, honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
