Encouragement Goes a Long Ways

O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago. [Isaiah 25:1]

Holy Spirit help me to instill into my life Your word when it says: You and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Iron sharpens iron, so a person sharpens the countenance of their friend. [Romans 1:12; Proverbs 18:21; Proverbs 27:17] Help me to encourage and be encouraged by my brothers and sisters in Christ and to be careful what I say so that I speak life and hope into people and help encourage people to grow in faith.

I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
