Enduring through Hard Times

I will thank the Lord with all my heart; I will declare all Your wondrous works. I will rejoice and boast about You; I will sing about Your name Most High. The Lord sits enthroned forever; He established His throne for judgment. And He judges the world with righteousness; He executes judgment on the nations with fairness. The Lord is a refuge for the persecuted, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Lord.

Holy Spirit, Christ said to His disciples, “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” And Paul wrote, “We do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Help me to be one who endures. Help me to stand strong and put my trust fully in You. I know that I will face tribulation and I have faced much already in my life, yet I still believe. Help me to willing to speak up when it is needed to tell others of who You are and what You have done in my life. Let me be willing to face whatever consequences or ridicule that may come when I do speak up. For I will testify of Your mercy, grace, salvation, and power.

Holy Spirit, I ask that You will be with Kayla as she is in Chicago and is undergoing tests so that the doctors can locate and remove any tumors that are causing her current condition. We pray for full healing for this young woman that has endured for many years with this illness and stayed true to testifying of You. We ask that You lift this thorn from her and give her a full life with health once again.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
