Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Holy Spirit I am struggling today to show love towards my neighbor. I am struggling to not let the day defeat me. I ask for wisdom, discernment and a lot of grace today. Let me follow Christ’s words when he said, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap; they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and Your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” Holy Spirit help me to seek the kingdom and Christ instead of focusing on my petty rights and anger.
Holy Spirit help me to learn to incorporate the correct fruits into my life. Help me to focus my prayers on other’s needs like Jim who has cancer and needs healing. I pray that You will anoint his body and heal him of all his cancer so he can continue to serve You. Holy Spirit give his wife and adult children strength as they walk this walk with him.
Help me to continue to pray for the healing process for Kayla that I have been praying for the past few years. You finally allowed the right doctors to give her the right treatments to start her healing but she still has a long way to go and still needs Your healing touch.
Holy Spirit I ask that You remember my students who are in prison who need Your light and need to change their choices. I pray for their salvation and for their freedom.
Holy Spirit I pray for all the people I coached over for years, I pray as they are adults now that they will look to You and seek You. I ask for protection and blessing on their lives.
I pray for my own family, my adult children, my grandchildren, and my wife that You will protect them and bless them with full lives and blessings.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts me in all my troubles, so that I can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort I, myself have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into my life, so also through Christ my comfort overflows. If I am distressed, it is for others comfort and salvation; if I am comforted, it is for others’ comfort, which produces in me, patient and endurance of the same sufferings all people suffer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
