Heavenly Father I praise You for listening and answering prayers. I praise You for helping the surgeons with Kayla last week and for all the progress she is seeing. I praise You for helping me as I learn to pray for a larger group of people and follow Your Spirit to know what to pray. I praise You for Your word and Your promises so that I can lean on them to understand Your heart and how to pray in a way that will gain Your attention.
Holy Spirit, Jesus told us, “There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads because your redemption is drawing near.” Help me to keep my head up, no matter how much trouble is around me or happening to me. Help me to be faithful, to follow Your statutes, and live by the guidelines You have given to us as a standard and expectation. Help me to work out my own salvation not dictated by man’s concepts but how the Your Spirit leads me but also based on the principles of Your word. Help me to come under the authorities that You set above me whether in the world, at work, or at church. Let me stand true to what drives my faith in You.
Holy Spirit teach me to pray with Your leading and with a humble heart. Help me to speak and live a life that exemplifies You and You only. Help me to listen to Your voice and listen to other people when they speak so that I can clearly comprehend and respond appropriately and demonstrate that I truly care enough to hear. Help me to continually study, learn, and to grow both in Your word and in knowledge so that I will be able to communicate to all people at any given time. Let me learn Your wisdom above all and cherish it.
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen us with power through his Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. And I pray that we, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!
