Heavenly Father, I praise You for the change in how we worship and communicate with You. After Christ, people now pray and respond to the Holy Spirit, who lives within them, as they are living temples to serve You. I praise You for being a God who wants a relationship with each and every one of us and for having adopted me into the family. Help me have faith to take command of my morning today and shake all evil from it.
Holy Spirit, Christ told us to have faith like a mustard seed. He also told us to watch and pray. Finally, He told the people of his time: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” [John 4:23-24; John 6:63; John 13:34&35]
Help me to pray continuously, having a conversation with You. Also, help me to pray prayers of intercession for healing, protection, your intervention in a situation, and for people’s salvation. Help me to pray with faith and conviction that nothing is impossible for You. Also, help me to be humble enough to realize that Your will must be done. Most of all, help me to become discerning and to know when to boldly speak out in prayer so that people can witness Your hand moving. Keep me from any kind of pride that I did anything to make something happen, for I am nothing without You. Let my prayers measure up to Your word and principles, but also be from my heart and my trust in You as the King of Kings. Help me to have enough reverence and respect that when I pray intercession, even if it is to battle: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. [2 Corinthians 10:3-5] That I realize: Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire”. Help me come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [Hebrews 12:28&29; Hebrews 4:16]
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who can do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
