Heavenly Father I praise You the opportunity to petition You daily and to have a personal relationship with You, my Creator and my Father. I praise You for the opportunity to explore the gifts and abilities You have given me so that I can use them to honor You. Heavenly Father I praise You even in the times I have had to walk through the valley of the shadow of death with cancer twice, and when I was in an accident when a person ran a stop sign. I praise You for being with me when I lost my son Philip, and all of the babies: Charlene, Alexander, and Joshua Jacob.
Holy Spirit I have been brought low by sin and by heartache You have been there to pick me up. I ask that You put a hedge of protection around me and my family so that I can be protected as I lead others in prayer. Holy Spirit help me to continue to glean wisdom and discernment from Your word. Help me to lift my shield of faith and protect those who are under my care.
Holy Spirit embolden my spirit so that I pray with a faith that not just moves the mountain but gives it a good shake once in a while. I pray that You help me to be like Joshua and to be of strong courage. Help me to stand on the principles and truth of Your word. Help me to fight with love, hope and honesty. Help me to pray so filled with Your Spirit and with the unity of all those who pray with me that we see and witness change, wonders, signs and healing.
Holy Spirit I cannot do many things physically anymore like I use to. With suffering two cancers, a knee repair and a very sore back plus just the years of sports, working in a Distribution center for 16 years my I cannot move like I did when I was younger. What I can do is pray with all of my heart, strength and faith I can muster. I can pray with the truth that You will hear my cry and will answer. I know that even if I don’t like the answer I will get an answer. Help me to be like the woman You told us about that constantly harassed the judge until he relented to give her justice. Help me to pray with that kind of confidence and persistence. Help me to have faith like Caleb and Daniel to know without a doubt that You are greater than my circumstances. Help me to pray so that families are healed, miracles occur, lives are changed because of Your Power which flows through me. I know I can’t be the water that quenches people’s thirst, but I can be the pitcher that is filled up and poured out.
I pray that this will be who I am daily because of Your promise and truth: John 14:12-14—“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
I will humble myself, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that I may be lifted up in due time. I will cast all my anxiety on Jesus because He cares for me. I will learn to be self-controlled and alert. My enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. I will resist him, standing firm in the faith, because I have learned and know that my brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called me to his eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will himself restore me and make me strong, firm and steadfast. To God be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
