God Actually Sings Over Me

Heavenly Father I praise You for being my creator, instilling in me a purpose, and Your desire to have a relationship with me. I praise You for being gracious and merciful when You have all power and authority over Your creation. I praise You for the personal approach You have in my life.  

Holy Spirit Your word tells me, “The Lord your God is in your midst, a Mighty One, who will save. He will rejoice over me with gladness, He will renew me with His love, He will rejoice over me with singing.” [Zephaniah 3:17] I am so thankful that I mean enough to You that You even sing over me. It makes me understand that I was created with a purpose and that You find joy in Your creation, specifically in me. As I consider who you are and how Isaiah put it into perspective, For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. [Isaiah 55:8&9] I realize that Your love is beyond even a hint of my understanding but that I am blessed because of it. Let me learn to demonstrate, give, and learn to love, even if it is such a minor attempt compared to Your love.  

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
