God of Mercy, Elohe Chaseddi

Your word promises us: “For the Lord (Elohe) God is a merciful God (Chaseddi); He
will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors,
which He confirmed to them by oath.” “Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he
in anger withheld His compassion?” “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and
forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay
angry forever but delight to show mercy.” “Your mercy extends to those who fear
You, from generation to generation.” “But because of His great love for us, God
(Elohe), who is rich in mercy (Chaseddi), made us alive with Christ even when
we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” “But when
the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of
righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy (Chaseddi). He saved us
through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured
out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified
by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a
trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who
have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.
These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.” [Duet. 4:31; Psa.
77:9; Micah 7:18, Luke 1:50, Eph. 2:4&5, Titus 3:4-8, NIV]

This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and
depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be
pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit of
righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Amen.
