Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me! For my soul seeks refuge in You; in the shadow of Your wings, I will make my refuge until the ruinous storm passes. I will cry to You, Most High, for You are the God who vindicates me. You will send from heaven and save me from the taunt of the one who crushes me. Selah. You will send forth Your mercy and Your truth…I will thank You, O Lord, among the peoples and sing to You among the nations. For Your mercy is great up to the heavens, and Your truth extends to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory be above all the earth. [Psalm 57:1-3 & 9-11]
Holy Spirit Your word tells me: we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way that He has opened for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh, and since we have a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse them from evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to spur one another to love and to good works. [Hebrews 10:19-24]
So, I will continually enter into the Most Holy Place because of being forgiven by the blood of Jesus and I will petition You, O Lord, through my High Priest, Jesus Christ, asking for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment. I will petition for the sick and dying that they may be healed within Your will. I will continue to pray intercession for the loss especially those who are of my own family. And I will seek to become better at encouraging others on how to love as Christ and to continually do good works. I will seek to be replenished by hearing Your voice and the renewing of my mind. I will do all that I can to be a living sacrifice for You so that I will know and do Your will. Most of all I will listen and speak to Your Spirit so that I can have a growing relationship with my Savior.
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by You, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You, all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
