Heavenly Father, blessing and honor and glory and power belong to You who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. [Revelations 5:13] I praise You and I am thankful for the food I eat, the house I live in, the car that gets me places, and the job You have entrusted me with so that I can pay and give. I praise You for the wisdom of Your word and the accounts of what Christ said while living amongst us.
Holy Spirit, Jesus told the Pharisees: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” [Matthew 23:23; Luke 6:38] Help me to be wise and responsible enough to tithe, give and handle my finances wisely. Help me to be an active believer who gives with my money, time, abilities, and my prayers. Let me live so others can succeed and make it to Your kingdom. Help me consider and promote or when within my power make justice, mercy, and faith happen. Let me give with a heart full of love, compassion, and faith. I can’t always give money but You expect more of me so let me be more. Help me to have faith that You can and will heal Kayla and all her troubles. Help me to believe that when the time is right You will open the door for me to publish 3 more books so that I can give the profits to the Youth for Christ in the Thumb area of Michigan. Let me be faithful to plant seeds where I may never see the fruit of the labor and the time it takes to cultivate.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear-minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
