Heavenly Father I praise You today for being the creator of all things. I praise You for being a God of mercy and righteousness. I also give You praise for desiring to have a relationship with me, when You have so much of creation moving at all times. As the Psalmist said, You have known me even before I was created in my mother's womb. You have a purpose for me and desire to have me know You. I praise You for such love.
Holy Spirit help me to live and breathe the scripture that says, “I will be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. I will put on the full armor of God so that I can take my stand against the devil’s schemes. For my struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, I will put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, I am ready to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, so I can be honest, transparent and not be caught up in lies or deception; with the breastplate of righteousness in place so that my heart and soul are protected with wisdom, righteousness, and Your word, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, I will take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I will ensure that I wear the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, I will be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” [Ephesians 6:10-18]
As I live given God’s mercy, to offer my body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is my spiritual act of worship. I will not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Then I will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will. [Romans 12:1&2] So, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. [Psalm 19:14] In Jesus’ name, Amen.
