Father in heaven, I give You all praise and I have a heart of gratitude for sending Your Son, Jesus, to bridge the gap and provide salvation so we are no longer in threat of the law. I praise You for sending Your Holy Spirit to guide me, provide wisdom and understanding, and comfort me when I hurt or fail.
Holy Spirit help me come into the throne room daily and offer praise and petitions before my God and King. I come asking for wisdom to be a better husband, father, and grandfather. I seek understanding so that I can not only read Your word but know it well enough to live it minute by minute. I seek discernment so that I can understand the needs of people around me and then the wisdom to know if I have the ability to help or send them to where they can get help. Holy Spirit I need to stand on joy so that I am strong in my faith when I face trials and heartaches. I need to hold onto peace in my life so that I can control any anger from gaining control of my emotions, mind, or spirit. I desire to have love so I can always demonstrate forgiveness as You have done for me. I need patience so that I can bridle my tongue and only say affirming things to people who are already hurting, or be firm when people need correction.
Holy Spirit, Jesus told us while here on the earth, Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and truth.” It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life. I give you a new commandment: that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Jesus let us believe and trust in Your words and do the will of the Father, Amen. [John 4:23-24; John 6:63; John 13:34&35; John 14:12-14]
