The Lord has done great things for me, and I am glad. You say, “ Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, and let not the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, says the Lord.” [Psalm 126:3; Jeremiah 9:23&24]
Holy Spirit help me to be loving towards my brothers and sisters, gracious and kind. Help me to never repay evil for evil like the world, or curse for curse, but on the contrary, bless, knowing that I am called and may receive Your blessing. Let me be the one who loves life and sees good days, keeping my tongue from evil, and my lips from speaking deceit. Let me turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For Your eyes, Oh Lord, are on the righteous, and Your ears are open to their prayers; Your face is against them who do evil. Who will harm me if I follow that which is good? But even if I suffer for the sake of righteousness, I am blessed. I will not be afraid of their terror, I will not be troubled. I will sanctify the Lord God in my heart. Always ready to give an answer to anyone who asks for a reason for the hope that is within me, I will do it with gentleness and fear. I will do all I can with the help of Your Holy Spirit to have a good conscience so that evildoers who speak evil of me and falsely accuse my good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. [1Peter 3:8-16]
I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
