Heavenly Father, I praise You for sending Your Son to be human and walk among us and be the example to all of us on how we should live with both the physical and spiritual world around us. I praise You for the ability You have give all of us to learn, use and increase our knowledge and intelligence so that you can use us to do Your will. Help me today to be like Job and learn from You on how to take command of my morning and shake the evil from it.
The night of the last supper and the betrayal of Christ by Judas, Christ prayed over His disciples and He prayed over us when He prayed, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one as You, Father, are in Me and I in You ; that they also may be on in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” [John 17:20&21] I know from Romans 8:34, and Hebrews 7:25 that Christ continues to intercede for us. Holy Spirit help me today and all days going forward to use Christ as my example and to learn not only to pray for people to be healed, comforted, loved but also to pray
and be an intercessor that cares for their salvation, growth, and maturity in You. Help me to not only abide in You but to help others learn to do so too. Guide my prayers to be sincere and from the deep well of my soul and not merely flattering or flowery words on paper. Help me to allow Your Spirit to breathe through me as Your living temple to spread the kingdom of God and the knowledge of it to all I interact with. Let me do as Christ pushed for us to do when He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” [John 14:12-14]
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of the You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving
thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
