How God Wants us to See

Heavenly Father I praise You for today. I praise You for days where I may not feel up to par and You still give me strength and walk with me. I praise You for lifting me up and giving me the courage to deal with all I face daily. Help me to take command of my day and let You shake the evil from it.

Holy Spirit help me to learn from what You said to Job, “Listen to this Job; stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.” [Job 37:14] And take to heart what Jesus spoke when he said, “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, since you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’” [ Matthew 25:37-40] Just as Elisha asked God to open the eyes of his servant to see the spiritual encampment around him, I want to see all that God needs me to see and be aware of so that I can fully appreciate and do His will every day with the confidence that I am seeing with my eyes and my heart and responding as my Father desires of me. Let my words, actions, meditation, and desires align with the obedience of being one of Your children.

But, beloved, remember the words that. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause division, are sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. Others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
