Heavenly Father I praise You for the amazing brain You have given us to think, process, record, and process our senses so that we can move through the day and be responsible for what we do. I praise You for the free will You have given us to live and choose You daily. I praise You for allowing me to command my mornings and use Your power to shake the evil from it.
Holy Spirit help me to focus, give attention to, and meditate on what is true, what is honest, what is, what is pure, what is lovely and to give credence to good reports. Help me to recognize virtue and to give praise from deep within the very core of who I am to You. Help me to take into captivity any thought that may produce sin, bitterness, envy, spite, or, anger and allow Your Spirit to wash it from my temple. [Philippians 4:8; 2 Corinthians 10:5] Help me to not dwell on or be deceived by man’s foolishness or false justice and truth. Give me discernment throughout my day so that I will know from Your Spirit what is right and what is wrong for me to see, hear, feel, accept, understand, meditate, and do as I live today and each day that follows. Hone my spiritual senses so that I am extremely aware of what Your Spirit is warning or telling me to do or not do. Help me to see the blessings You give to me and those around me each day so that I can not only testify but give you praise and honor for all that You do for me today.
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation…but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. AndOthers others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. [2 Peter 3:10-15&18; Jude 17-24 (MEV)]
