“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him. I thank and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you….( Daniel 2:20-23)
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent men you save me. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. The waves of death swirled about me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears. (2 Samuel 22:2-7) Answer me, O Lord, answer me, so these people will know that You, O Lord, are God, and that You are turning their hearts back again. (1 Kings 18:37)
Holy Spirit guide my steps, thoughts, actions, work habits, my words that come out of my mouth so that I honor You all day and that I will be fully submerged in Your Spirit. Help me to be a living temple where You can dwell and commune with me, allowing me to be a living sacrifice so that I can do Your good and perfect will. Help me to meditate on Your word today so that I can breathe in Your wisdom and life giving water so that I can in turn pour out all that is in me to all that I come into contact with today. Let me be not just a little light but a shining star with my fellow believers so that with all our lights shining we can be the light in the darkness of this world. Help me to bear the tests, trials and tribulations I face today so that at the end of the day I can stand and praise You for walking me through all that I face and continued to honor You. Help me to not only stand but to fight the good fight by believing in You and with faith pray down principalities, powers of this dark world, spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms and the devil’s schemes. (Eph. 6:10-12) Help me to wear my armor with grace, mercy and with the power of the Holy Spirit so that I can be counted as not only a faithful servant but one who is a doer of the word.
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
