Heavenly Father I praise You that even though I am not of the seed of Abraham I am also part of the promise to be Your child. I praise You for salvation, sanctification and for learning to be Holy. I praise You for being given gifts, talents and a ministry to give my life meaning and be a part of the body of Christ. I praise You for the ability to pray Your word, Your promises, and Your truth back to You as the Watchers on the Wall would pray and call out reminders so that all would know what You said, to whom You said it to and what it would do.
Holy Spirit Paul wrote to the Romans, and this applies to us even today: “Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed you, to the glory of God. For I say that Christ became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers so that Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, I will praise You among the Gentiles and sing praise to your name. Again it says, Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people! And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles: let all the peoples praise Him! And again, Isaiah says, the root of Jesse will appear, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in Him. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” [Romans 15:7-13]
Holy Spirit I not only claim, believe but desire to overflow with hope by Your power. I ask that I be filled with joy and peace as my faith grows and I become stronger in my trust in You. I claim that as a child I inherit a spirit of courage, hope, love and can stand boldly as I walk through valleys, on mountains or whatever else I must travel in my lifetime.
“To Him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by His blood, and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” [Revelation 1:5&6]
