Heavenly Father, You, examine the mind, You test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve. [Jeremiah 17:10] You reign! Let the people tremble. You are enthroned between cherubim. Let the earthquake. You are great in Zion; You are exalted above all the people. Let them praise Your great and awe-inspiring name. You are holy. [Psalm 99:1-3]
Holy Spirit Your word says: “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say; The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been thrown down. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; for they did not love their lives to the point of death. [Revelations 12:10 & 11, CSB] “How much more then, being now justified by His blood, shall we be saved from wrath through Him. For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, how much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by His life? Furthermore, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” Christ said, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” [Romans 5:9-11; Matthew 26:28; 1 Corinthians 10:16]
Holy Spirit help me, who has been set free through salvation from the result of the blood Christ shed on the cross, and the one who has hope of eternal life because of His resurrection 3 days later from the tomb, to testify always of the love of God. Help me to always stand and be numbered as one who will testify of all God has and will do. Help me to fully appreciate the cross and the empty tomb, especially when I take communion. Let me remember that I live under the new covenant that Christ established just before His betrayal, death, and resurrection. Let me as a child of God, always give praise, and live a life as a living sacrifice for the one who laid down His life so that I could have eternal life.
I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
