I Need Help to Get Through Today

Heavenly Father, I praise You for today and Your love even when we don’t feel lovely. I praise You for teaching me to speak to You and tell You all of my heart and that You want to know even though You already know. I praise You for seeing me for who I am, not as the world sees me. Help me today to take command of my day, shake the evil from it, and stand on the foundation of wisdom and faith You have helped me to grow within my life.

Holy Spirit, I come to You today and ask for wisdom as James told us to do. I seek to be steadfast as Paul encouraged us to be. I desire strength and courage as You gave to Peter and Caleb. Help me to heal from feeling sick and to face some trials that are in my way currently. Help me to lean on the wisdom You provide and be discerning on how I should think, talk, and respond to life at this moment. Help me to use praise to keep my heart moving in the right direction and to see beyond this cloudy time in life. Help me to be wise in my decisions, loving in how I deal with Your children, and to walk with integrity, humility, and boldness. Help me to take to heart Your word that says: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” [Matthew 7:7-12; Matthew 11:28&29]

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who can do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus, throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
