Heavenly Father I praise you for today and ask that You take command of the morning and shake out the evil from it. I praise You for the hope You have placed deep within my heart that helps me face each day and put on my armor. I am grateful for salvation and for the desire of You to have a relationship with me.
Holy Spirit, James was inspired to write that if we needed wisdom we should come to You and allow You to breathe wisdom into us. As a living temple, I desire to be the living example of why God provides hope, and how we live in a broken world full of hurt but the end game is heaven where there will be no death, heartache, or pain. Let me speak with Your wisdom and demonstrate love at all times. Help me to not be defeated by frustration or feeling I am on the defense when I know You can defend Yourself.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
