I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. [Isaiah 61:10; Isaiah 62:6&7]
Holy Spirit Your word says, “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was upon Him.” [Luke 2:40] I come to You today and request before the throne of Jesus, advocate to the Father, that my children and grandchildren will become strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and Your grace upon them. Help me to foster this with them and bring others into their lives who will help this happen also. Give my children and grandchildren a double portion of Caleb’s spirit so they can stand for what is right, bold in their faith, face any giant in their life with the truth that nothing is impossible for You.
Holy Spirit move on and fill my children and grandchildren with Your Spirit so they can speak wisdom, truth and grace to all they come in contact with. Help them to be discerners of the spirit of each individual they encounter and to demonstrate love, grace, mercy and truth so that many may encounter You and learn of and about salvation. Give them the strength, courage and understanding that Caleb had that despite others opinions it only matters what Your opinion is.
Holy Spirit help me to leave a legacy of serving You. I know I am not perfect or anyone special, but I am Your child and I want my family to always know this. Help them to see You through and despite me. Help me to live my life as a living sacrifice for You. Help me to lead others on how to talk to You and help me to learn to pray without ceasing. Help me to pray with boldness, honesty, humility and faith. Help me not to be one who just says nice words but one who prays with the true cry of my heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
