I Was Made for This

O Lord, hear my plea for justice. Listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, for it comes from honest lips. Declare me innocent, for you see those who do right. You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong. I am determined not to sin in what I say. I have followed Your commands, which keep me from following cruel and evil people. My steps have stayed on Your path; I have not wavered from following You. I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me Your unfailing love in wonderful ways. By Your mighty power, You rescue those who seek refuge from their enemies. Guard me as You would guard Your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of Your wings. [Psalm 17:1-8, NLT]

Holy Spirit Your word says and I pray to You: “Your grace that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching me and others that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, I should live soberly, righteously, and in godliness in this present world, as I await the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for me, that He might redeem me from all lawlessness and purify for Himself, myself and others as a special people, zealous of good works. I will teach these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. I will let no one despise me.” “I am enriched in everything, in all speech, and in all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me so that I am not lacking in any gift while waiting for the revelation of my Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, and by Him, I am called to the fellowship with His son, Jesus Christ my Lord.” [Titus 2:11-15, 1 Corinthians 1:5-9, MEV]

Holy Spirit help me to pray daily and know that You hear me and are in fellowship with me. Help me to ask within Your will what is needed to be asked and to focus on what is right and good so that I give no room to sinful thoughts. Help me to learn how to wear my Biblical and spiritual armor properly and expertly so that I can stand and be victorious through You. Help me to understand why I wear each part and what it does for me. Help me to pray for others who need to learn, know and accept salvation. Help me to pray for those who are sick or injured to be healed. Let me pray so that I stay in fellowship with You at all times of my life.

But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
