Ingraining God's Word In My Memories

Heavenly Father I praise You for today and for how You are moving in my life and the people around me. I praise You for keeping my family safe and for the time I spend with them. I praise You for helping me navigate and do my job each day. I praise You for the people You have brought into my life and how I have benefited from knowing them. Help me to take command of my morning and to shake all evil from it.

Holy Spirit help me as I ingrain Your word into my heart and mind that I will be mindful of what You inspired people to write that is recorded in the Bible. Help me to embrace the wisdom and apply these to who I am and how I live. I will let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, I will esteem others better than himself. As one of God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, I need to clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with others and forgive them if I have a grievance against someone. I will and need to forgive as the Lord forgave me. And over these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. I will let the peace of Christ rule in my heart since as a member of the body I am called to peace. I will be thankful. Letting the message of Christ dwell in me richly as I teach and admonish others with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in my heart. And whatever I do, whether in word or deed, I will do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. [Philippians 2:3; Colossians 3:12-17; Proverbs 22:4]

Let me breathe in these scriptures and let them give me spiritual renewal so that I may be the living temple You desire of me. Help me to learn and understand so that I can apply this wisdom daily in my life and do Your will as a living sacrifice, renewing my mind daily.

And this is my prayer: that my love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that I may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Amen. Philippians 1:9-11
