Just Checking In

Heavenly Father I praise You for today. I praise You for knowing my heart and when I must take care of responsibilities that cause me to miss a Bible Study or some other activity I desire to attend You know why and love me anyway. Help me today to take command of my morning and shake the evil out of it.  

Today I am just checking in while I try to work through my day. Help me to be more aware of the people around me and their needs so that I can be a good servant and leader. I know I don’t always have to talk or be involved to be present in people’s lives. Help me to immolate Christ today. Help me be wise in what I say, meditate on, and how I listen so that I can truly be useful for Your kingdom. Remember the people who fall under my responsibility and care for the people who I have promised to lift in prayer daily. From Joseph to David to Daniel to Christ to Paul I know it is important to stop, and just seek You daily and that is all I am doing right now. Help me to be awed in Your presence and filled with Your Spirit to meet the day head-on.  

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
