Heavenly Father I praise You for creating me in Your image and that You desire to have a relationship with me. I praise You for creating me with a purpose, a plan but allow me the free will to make choices that either fulfill or hinder that plan. I also understand that as You sit outside of time but inside it simultaneously, You see a much grander picture of this world than I do. You can see the world and still know the number of hairs on my head. I ask today that You help me take command of my morning and shake the evil from it.
Holy Spirit guided me today to do what is right and needed and be available to those who may need me to shine light into their light. Help me to utilize the gifts, abilities, and talents that You uniquely created within me to represent You in this world. Help me to intercede in prayer for others just as Jesus intercedes for me in the throne room. Guide my words to be encouraging, full of hope and to spread Your love. Let my thoughts be focused and clear. Help me to refuse to allow temptation, evil, sin, lust, greed, or pride to enter my thinking, my desires, or my spirit. Help me to walk in the Spirit all day as I live as Your living temple, living sacrifice desiring to give You all that I am so that I can abide in You while You abide in me. Help me to stand in the gap for what is right, to pray as a warrior, and to fight the battles that are out to destroy those who are around me. Help me to pray for a hedge of protection around my family, friends, and church so that we can live and testify of You in our community and by serving effect change. Help me to be a listening ear so that the broken and the hurting can find refuge. Help me to bear the fruit that will lead to eternal life and to be the reflector of Your salvation and love. Let mercy and grace be guides in my conduct but also boldness that I have purpose and that You desire me.
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by You, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You, all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen.
