Lead Me this Year

I will exalt you, Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to You for help, and You healed me. You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; You spared me from going to the pit. Sing the praises of the Lord, you His faithful people; praise His holy name. For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. [Psalm 30:1-5]

“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good spirit lead me onto level ground.” [Psalm 143:10, MEV] Help me to listen with ears that desire Your voice. Let me see with eyes open to both this world and the spiritual world around me. Help me to believe in my heart, focus and meditate with my mind, and live my faith so that I honor You daily. Let me live a life that will demonstrate that I have, am, and will always follow Your principles, wisdom, and Spirit and use my knowledge to apply all that I have learned from You. Lead me to be the person You most desire me to be.

You, O Lord, are my shepherd; I shall not want. You make me lie down in green pastures; You lead me beside still waters and You restore my soul; You lead me in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Your house forever. In Jesus’ name, let it be so, Amen. [Psalm 23]
