Let Me Pray with Sincerity

Heavenly Father, I praise You today for being alive and enjoying the wonders You have made and done. I praise You for allowing me to witness miracles and see You move in unsuspecting ways. I praise You that through Your power I am able to take command of my morning, shake the evil out of it, and live as a living sacrifice and as a living temple that glorifies You. I thank You for not expecting perfection just true loyalty and companionship.

Holy Spirit Your word says to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, I am to let my requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Since I have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for me through the curtain, that is, His body, and since I have a great priest over the house of God, let me draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having my heart sprinkled to cleanse me from a guilty conscience and having my bodies washed with pure water. Let me hold unswervingly to the hope I profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let me consider how I may spur others on toward love and good deeds. Let my community of believers not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. [Phillipians 4:6-7; Hebrews 10:19-25] Help me to take seriously my responsibility as a person of prayer to hold this as the truth of who I am and how I pray. Help me to always hold tight to the wisdom and promises of Your word as the foundation for when I come into the throne room through prayer to offer my requests. Help me to pray for blessings and protections for the saints, stand up for the least of these, pray relentlessly for those in need of salvation, and be a strong advocate for those in need of healing whether it be physical or mental.

Let me continually offer the sacrifice of praise to You, oh God, that is, the fruit of my lips, giving thanks to Your name. Help me to not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices You are well pleased. I will do my best to obey those who rule over me and be submissive for they watch out for my soul, and they will give account for how they lead. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for me. For I am confident that I have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially am urged to do this. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me complete in every good work to do His will, working in me what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
