Heavenly Father I praise Your Spirit for leading me to pray through the fruits of the Spirit so that my knowledge can grow and my faith become stronger. I praise You for the fruit of Peace. It is a fruit that can be as strong as a cranberry but as mild as a pear. I praise You that understanding peace helps us to live through the chaos of this world mired and dictated by sin and orchestrated by Satan.
Holy Spirit I desire to have peace in my heart, my mind, soul and body. I find it ironic that Peace comes after Joy. Joy moves us and pushes us, where as peace is that moment to have pause and praise You for everything in our life. Peace is the settling of spirit so that we can take a breath and then face our day. Help me to not only enjoy peace but help to bring peace into my work environment. Help me to demonstrate a peace that gets people to take a minute and see God in my life and know that is the only way I could have peace. Help me to embrace the peace that You offer in for our lives, and to share this new found confidence with others.
Holy Spirit help me to seek to live peaceably with my neighbors. To bring peace to the chaos of life in the prison where I teach. Help me to have peace in my heart and in my thoughts so that I do not fear the evil that tries to create chaos for me everyday that I breathe. Let my life exemplify peace as much as possible so that I become a shelter for people to confide in when life does not make sense to them.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. [2 Thessalonians 3:16] Help us to have peace instead of fear, let us lean on You for our peace and produce peace inside of us so that we can be Your witness to a world that does not have or understand what peace really is.
