Heavenly Father I give You praise for allowing me to have a good wife and a good family. I give You praise for the few friends I have are all very genuine and
honest. I praise You for the small village I grew up in and for the small town I live in now. I praise You for giving me a church to go to thatI feel safe and feel like they can help me to grow.
Holy Spirit, John wrote, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in
His name, He gave the right to become children of God—children born not of
natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory,
the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and
truth.” [John 1:12-14] I understand that I am a child of God, I also understand
that does not mean that life will be all rainbows and butterflies. I understand that I live in a broken world, that I will face many tests and troubles in life. I also understand that my flesh will war against my spirit. I know that I am to strive for holiness and
righteousness and that I am not perfect, just forgiven. Holy Spirit I ask that You continue to give me wisdom and discernment to navigate this life. I ask that You show me what I need to know and to shield me from the attacks of Satan. I ask that You help me to lean on the word and to grow from it. I ask that You help me to learn how to be full of grace and love. Teach me to see life from God’s point of view. Help me to learn to discern the heart of people and not judge them by their outward
appearance.
Holy Spirit I have climbed mountains, I have worked my way through valleys, I have
learned to shun or avoid temptation and to look to the light You provide for me
each step of my journey. I know that life is not easy, and relationships are even harder, but yet I know that I must
learn to navigate both leaning on You to help me. Holy Spirit, teach me to be
wise with my finances, wise with my words, wise with my actions and most of all wise with my decisions.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the
present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the
glory forever and ever. Amen. (Galatians1:3-5)
