Heavenly Father I praise You for the life You have given me. I know I often don’t understand or comprehend why I have faced the trials and storms in life that I have. I know often I am depressed by the brokenness that has come into my life. Yet, I praise You because my faith and my deepest conviction are that You love me and that I will one day get a bigger picture of life when I stand before You in heaven and know that I am completely Yours for eternity.
Holy Spirit, let me adhere to Paul’s inspired advice when he said, “Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—making the most of the time because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is.” [Ephesians 5:15-17,CSB] Help me to make the most of my time here. Help me use my gifts and ministries wisely and live to the fullest potential of how You created me. Help me to not waste my life on hate, anger, anxiousness, stress, and sin, but fully engage in love, joy, peace of mind, and focus on You and Your principles so that I utilize every minute I breathe here in this dark, broken sinful world.
But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
