Living One Breathe at a Time

Heavenly Father, I praise You for caring enough about me to design me with specific thought and care to fit into Your will. You created me with abilities that would enhance my success along the path You chose for me long before I came into existence. You also gave me the freedom to choose each step of the way, deciding whether to follow Your plan or my own. You trusted me enough to make my own decisions. Your love and forgiveness go beyond my comprehension, giving me grace and strength to overcome poor choices I've made so that I can return to the right path and walk as You planned all along.

Your word is "God-breathed," meaning that each day I inhale Your verthe essence as I take in Your word, Your creation, and Your Spirit, from when I wake until I drift off to sleep. As I learn to meditate, make memories, and memorize the thoughts of Your words and ways, they become permanently etched in my mind, forming lasting memories, thoughts, ideas, and desires as long as my brain continues to fire its synapses. As a living temple, offering my life as a living sacrifice, Your Spirit daily moves within me, imprinting Your fingerprint on my life. As I renew my mind, I create space for You and Your will, while letting go of the sin that once occupied my thoughts. Continue to renew my mind with Your Spirit, Your word, and Your wisdom, so that I can grow more into the person You desire me to be.

Help me to fully reflect Your word when it says: "And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules." You spoke through Isaiah, saying, "See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Help me to take all this in and live one breath of Yours at a time, truly living today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
